We offered these men the opportunity to ask us anything that they wanted to know about us, our lives and our walk with God. After close to three hours of discussion it was confirmed that we were indeed very similar. They had concerns about supporting thier families, educating thier children, walking in faith and even government mandated healthcare in their country!
The discussion started with them being shy and reserved. By the end it was joyful with humor, laughter and a true love for one another. Just like what you would expect of brothers!
We did ask how we as a group and as a Church could best pray for them. The answer was unanimous: pray for rain! They are suffering in every aspect of thier lives due to a prolonged drought. Please fervently pray for an end to this.
Meeting these men built bridges of understanding and love between our Church and theirs. I truly thank God for this opportunity and for this experience!
